The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
